2 dead in Bangladeshi derailmentEarly reports indicated that nearly 200 people were injured when six coaches of the eleven coach train were derailed at Sohagi station in Mymensingh. The accident occurred at about 09.30. Details of the accident remain confused with some saying that the train was carrying people home to the Capital Dhaka after the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha from a port in the south (Chittagong). Others suggest that the train was travelling southwards towards the port. Local reports state that 4 coaches, not 6 were derailed and that a goods wagon was involved. No further details were available.
