Pakistan: 3 die 100 injured in derailment

Pakistan, 18 February 1999: Three people have been killed and more than 100 people injured in a rail accident in southern Pakistan.

A train from the northeastern town of Peshawar to Karachi was derailed near Jungshahi. The train, the "Chenab Express" consisted of 12 coaches, 9 of which came off the track.

Few details are available at present. However reports suggest that the death toll is likely to increase.
