Jammu train bomb kills 5

Sealdah Express yesterday (11 January) and killed 5 people.
Twenty others are said to have been injured in the incident which occurred about 30 miles from Jammu, the winter capital of Jammu and Kashmir state.

The blast tore through an air conditioned coach and derailed the locomotive and ten coaches. The train was en-route to Howrah in eastern India.

Rescue work was hampered by poor weather.

Indian Railways has inceasingly become the targets of militant, separatist groups. In January, a bomb exploded on a train in Delhi railway station injuring 12 people.
