As many as 9 people are thought to have died in a terrorist bomb blast at a railway station in eastern India.
A Mahanda to New Delhi express train had just arrived at the platform of New Jalpaiguri station in north Bengal when the bomb detonated. The blast occurred shortly after midday and besides those who were killed, a further 80 were injured.
According to a report from the Press Trust of India a separatist group, the United Liberation Front of Assam, claimed responsibility for the attack.
