Jo'burg rail crash - 2 dead

A commuter train has collided with the rear of a freight train killing two people according to reports from South
Africa.
Estimates of the number injured vary between 12 and 20.
The accident occurred near Maraisburg station west of Johannesburg during the afternoon rush hour. The freight train was stopped at a red signal when the passenger train collided with it. The imact of the collision caused the first carriage (a first class coach) to rise into the air and land on the following carriage.
It is not known at present why the commuter train, operated by Metrorail did not stop.
