Express train collision kills 17 in India

Seventeen people were killed when an express train collided with a derailed goods train near the city of Agra in the north of India.
The accident occurred at around 0215 (local time) on 16 July between Mathura and Agra. The Madras to New Delhi 'Grand Trunk Express' struck the freight train which had become derailed just a few minutes earlier. Thirteen of the passenger train's coaches were derailed.
The death toll has risen steadily through the day. More than 200 people are thought to be injured.
Agra, in Uttar Pradesh state is about 160 km from New Delhi.
