Virgin Trains Derailment
BBC Online : Monday November 27, 2000
The investigation is continuing into the accident in which the first three carriages left the track at Mossend south junction near Motherwell on Sunday evening.
No-one was seriously injured, although two passengers suffered shock, one received a slight neck injury and one was reported to have received cuts and bruises.
Railtrack has refused to speculate on the cause but said it was not related to the Hatfield derailment. No cracks have been found in the track.
