A train hauling hazardous chemicals derailed on May 27, in Eunice, La.
Thirty-three cars of the 113 car train were derailed. Fourteen of these contained toxic chemicals. Because of a fear that the resulting fire might cause the chemicals to be released into the atmosphere between 2,500 and 3,000 people were evacuated from their homes.
