Train fire kills 18

A fire on the Punjab Mail early today has claimed the lives of 18 people.
Twenty more were injured in the incident which occurred at about 03:30. The train was between Duskheda and Savda stations, about 280 miles from Bombay in the western Indian state of
Maharashtra.
The train was estimated to have been carrying about 1000 passengers when fire broke out in one of the carriages. It quickly spread to engulf 5
more.
The cause of the fire has not yet been established. Mukul Marwah, public relations officer of the Central Indian Railway said "Investigations are taking
place to find out the cause of the fire which has since been contained,"
