of the Glenbrook disaster and other incidents as well as reviewing safety
systems on the network.
He will present the report early in the new year.
Mr Waters' brief will include an examination of the latest incident which occurred today when an empty train became derailed between North Sydney station and a holding yard in Lavender Bay. The incident occurred at 08:321 closing both the northbound and the southbound lines and stranding thousands of commuters.
Other incidents which he will look into occurred at Blacktown and Waverton in the last week.
